There was a deaf kid named Brian in my home town who was the craziest skater. He dropped in on a frozen quarter pipe that was all vert and could ollie tennis nets. He invited me to his house to watch “Ban This” and I was super flattered, because we all looked up to him. We watched it in his basement with the volume all the way up. For the longest time I thought the movie was called “Panther,” because that’s how he pronounced it, what because of being deaf and all.
I’m excited for this movie because it reminds me of Brian and I can understand the title clearly and will probably watch it at an average volume.
